We will be meeting up again this Tuesday at the Hub above Moments Cafe in New George Street at the slightly later time of 3.45pm and finishing at 5.45pm. We are continuing our theme of ‘Enjoying Social Media’ and Jack Whitfield from Autism Assemble will be sharing ideas about how to get the best out of social media.
Many thanks to everyone who came along for our ‘DOSH – Your money your way event’. It certainly gave us a lot to think about. Maybe you saw that The Herald newspaper did an article about the hub online - if not, click here to read it. If you think you would benefit from more help Lesley has offered to run a budgeting session in the near future. Let us know if this is something you would benefit from.
See you on Tuesday – there will be more time to play games and have fun this time so bring along your favourite game if you want to share.
We also want to remind you that our partners, the NAS Plymouth Adult Asperger Branch (NAS PAAB) are running regular support groups for parents or carers of children on the autism spectrum. Click here for further details of upcoming sessions.
Also let us know if you have any special dietary requirements. Also remember that we can help with transport if you need help getting to us. Contact Janet at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Activities are funded by the People's Health Trust - offered free to people with autism in funded areas. We provide a safe, friendly space for adults with autism 16+ to socialise and enjoy activities approximately twice each month. We also offer more structured sessions called Better Futures Hubs twice a month, which are more targeted at helping with issues connected with work, training, education or anything that will help us move life forward.
