The Plymouth Autism Hub
Our next Autism Hub meetup will be this Tuesday 16th April upstairs at Moments Cafe between 3.0 and 5.0 pm - please come and join us. There will be a chance to discuss 'Autism and Food' and how we can foster a good 'relationship with food'.
Many thanks to Ellie from NAS PAAB (the National Autistic Society Plymouth Adult Aspergers Branch) who shared tips for good mental health with some of our members. Click here for their website http://www.nasplymouthadultaspergersbranch.webeden.co.uk/
Remember everyone is invited to the new Monthly Quiz Night on 18th April in the function room upstairs at the Treasury Bar from 6.30 to 8.30pm. This is being sponsored by the Treasury Bar, so a huge thanks to Serena who is their Events Manager.
Are you cleverer than Ann Hegerty?
For our first quiz night we will be pitting our teams against Ann Hegerty's Spectrum Quiz, a fund raising quiz she has designed for the National Autistic Society. Quiz teams will be asked to make a donation (whatever you can afford - optional) and the money will go to NAS PAAB. There will be a prize for the winning team! To book your free ticket, please click here.
On Tuesday the usual board games, refreshments and friendly chat will be on offer!
Also if you are claiming work benefits and need to keep track of work activity our sessions can be recorded as part of your job search.
Activities are funded by the People's Health Trust - offered free to people with autism and people who support them. Activities include: Nintendo Switch, traditional board games, access to free wifi. Feel free to bring any games you want to share. We promote an easy going atmosphere for our members to do what feels comfortable.
Check our Facebook page for our dates and times of future meetings too: https://www.facebook.com/events/523707461492297/
